This section contains a quick overview on how to use AceReader.
The easiest way to train with AceReader is to spend 15 minutes per day in the Course Mode. It will walk you through an automated, self-adjusting course. That's all there is to it!
Another approach to using the Course Mode is to plan activities, instead of time. Plan on doing the first six activities the first day. After the first day, plan on performing five or ten activities per training session. Start each training session with a Self-Paced Reading Comprehension Test.
You can perform a training session every day, or as little as several times a week. The program will remember which activities have been performed each day and will allow you to pick up where you left off each time you start the program.
When using the Course Mode, you may first want to select a different Text Level. You can make this selection by pressing the "Change Course" button at the bottom of the Course Mode screen (screen that got you here). Text levels should be thought of as text complexity levels. We recommend that you start out with level 1, 2 or 3 for students in grade school. For older students and adults, we usually recommend starting at a level between 3 and 5. Remember, newspapers are written for adults, and they are typically written at the 5th to 8th grade level.
Feel free to use the Menu Mode and/or the Expert Mode if you want more control or if you simply want to do more training each day.
The Menu Mode allows you to pick and choose which training activities to perform, which allows you to have MORE control. The Expert Mode gives you FULL control. It allows you to train or read with your own material and also lets you specify the exact display mode and speed settings. With the Expert Mode, you can train or read material that you may need to read anyway (i.e. Web Pages, e-mails, Word and PDF documents...).
AceReader is designed to help you become a more efficient reader both on and off the computer. AceReader is used for many other purposes as well. Some people use it every day to help rev-up their reading speeds for the day by using it as a reading warm-up tool. Other people use the advanced display options in the Expert Mode to help them read more efficiently while on the computer.

A NOTE ABOUT THE DEMO VS THE FULLY FUNCTIONAL VERSION
The demo has limitations. It only includes 13 tests (1 per level) instead of 260 tests (20 per level),and it has speed and other limitations. The purpose of the demo is to provide you with a general feel for how the program works and we do provide you with a taste of all the functionality; however, you will need to activate the program to make it fully functional.
When you purchase the program, we provide you with simple instructions on how to download, install, and activate the demo, along with the option to receive a CD, if you desire. Activating the demo will transform it into a fully functional program.
